As the Buccaneers quarterback race has tightened, the team released a depth chart ahead of preseason action that listed Baker Mayfield “Or” Kyle Trask as the starting quarterback.
This practice of listing players as interchangeable starters is most prominent in the college game, but various members of NFL media were totally perplexed by the Tampa Bay depth chart when it was released on Tuesday morning.
The first came from ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Never seen “Or” on a depth chart…. https://t.co/8baT8eYQSD

A second came from Trey Wingo:
“Or”… that’s a new one for me https://t.co/n2m5u2ocTD

Football fans everywhere couldn’t help but dunk on Schefter and Wingo for their lack of awareness of this practice on college football depth charts. Fans of both sports posted their disdain, which created hysterical social media fodder on Tuesday.
Here are some of the best reactions to the tweets by Schefter and Wingo, as the Bucs continue to sort out their starting quarterback competition.
Have you never glanced at a depth chart before?
