Week 10 was fairly kind to fantasy managers in terms of new injuries. Today’s list will happily be a little shorter than previous weeks.
That said, Week 11 started with a bang Wednesday morning with the news that Deshaun Watson will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. We were all set to tell you to monitor Watson’s status due to an injured ankle. That issue is now moot.
#Browns QB Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the first quarter against the #Ravens and is heading to Injured Reserve. It’s a displaced fracture in his right glenoid in his shoulder, and he’ll have surgery to repair it. Full recovery is expected. pic.twitter.com/pId7mTAXSf

As for good news? We have quite a few players trending toward returning this week. De’Von Achane, Khalil Herbert and Matthew Stafford are expected back, and Justin Jefferson and Justin Fields are also likely to play.
Tee Higgins is officially out for Thursday Night Football but he has not landed on the official IR. Alexander Mattison is also likely to miss this week due to a concussion.
Derek Carr suffered both a shoulder injury and concussion on Sunday, but the Saints are on bye this week, so he could return for Week 12. Michael Thomas has suffered what is feared to be a serious knee injury, so he will likely miss some time. Rashid Shaheed should be added if you need another wide receiver.
Here are the players to keep an eye on this week. Be sure to check Friday’s practice reports for the most up-to-date information.
