So far the Seattle Seahawks have kept a laser-like narrow focus in the NFL’s 2023 free agency period. Priority No. 1 is clearly reshaping their underperforming interior defensive line unit.
After two days of negotiations, Seattle has come to terms with two players. They are bringing in former Broncos defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones, as well as bringing back former Seahawks defensive tackle Jarran Reed. The team has also made a point to release two of their own interior linemen. Shelby Harris and Quinton Jefferson are both being cut.
Seattle still has several other roster needs to address, especially after losing two running backs and two linebackers, each. While their 10 draft picks will help, there are plenty of quality veterans still remaining on the market heading into Day 3 of free agency.
