Jamaal Williams has spent the last two years hilariously thrusting, laughing, and telling the NFL “not to play with him” as a member of the Detroit Lions. He’s been so much fun to watch on and off the field in Detroit.
But it looks like that fun is unfortunately about to end. Tuesday night might have been the end of an era.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Lions agreed to a lucrative contract with former Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery. The terms of said deal, which includes $18 million for Montgomery, means that Williams will likely soon be calling another NFL city home.
And honestly, for as good as the Lions seem to be now — what a shame!
Aside from the hilarious Dan Campbell, it was Williams who gave Detroit such color. Maybe a short-yardage back isn’t necessarily so important to their team’s success, but this news still stinks.
