NFL fans thought it was so petty that the Dolphins’ DeShon Elliott posted he’s praying for the Chiefs’ downfall

The Miami Dolphins spent much of the season looking like a historically good offensive team with Super Bowl potential only to end the season with three straight losses. That third loss, of course, came in Saturday’s AFC wild-card matchup with the Chiefs, and the Dolphins players were subjected to one of the coldest games in NFL playoff history.

So, while the Chiefs are heading to Buffalo for Sunday’s divisional round matchup, the Dolphins’ DeShon Elliott is stuck at an airport bar to eat a chicken caesar salad and to pray for the Chiefs’ downfall.

No, really, that’s what he did.

Elliott posted to his Instagram Story a totally unrelated image of his meal with a caption that read, “I pray by the Grace of God on the Chiefs down fall. I hope Buffalo beats them like they stole something.”

I get that the Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champs and that they just ended the Dolphins’ season, but, like … why? Elliott is out there praying for a division rival to make the AFC title game over a team Miami plays once every few years. That just doesn’t quite add up.

No wonder NFL fans had thoughts on the IG Story.

This was how Twitter reacted
