Nathaniel Hackett has not had the best of showings in his NFL head coaching debut over the last two weeks.
After absolutely beefing it for the Denver Broncos in Week 1 on a questionable field goal decision, Hackett drew the ire of NFL fans less than a week later. On Sunday against the Houston Texans, the Broncos were down 9-6 at home in the waning moments of the third quarter, a disastrous result against a team that ended their Week 1 with a tie.
With Russell Wilson and the Broncos driving down the field looking for a pivotal score, Hackett once again became the narrative after calling a tight end rush attempt on third and one at the Texans’ 35-yard line that, predictably, failed. Then, on the ensuing field goal attempt, Hackett mismanaged the clock and took a delay of game penalty to back them up five yards, after which… the Broncos punted!
Yes, after risking it all for a 64-yard field goal a week ago, Hackett balked at a 59-yarder.
Please watch this entire sequence. Nate Hackett has officially lost it. Denver went from 3rd and inches, a TE rush attempt, a long FG attempt, and then a punt. Lord pic.twitter.com/3Eugrn7sHG

Hackett continues to make brutal mistakes that hamper the Broncos in the most inopportune times. Thankfully, the Broncos bailed out Hackett’s poor decision making skills and took a 13-9 lead in the fourth quarter, but NFL fans have absolutely had it with the head coach after just two weeks.
NFL fans once again ripped Nathaniel Hackett for poor decision making in Week 2
Hackett might be generational. We've never seen mistakes like this so early. One to watch.

Calvin Ridley can’t place a little parlay guy but Nathaniel Hackett can throw games?
How is that fair?

Hackett wouldn’t let the kicker kick a 59 yd fg in Denver, but a 64 yarder in Seattle. That’s the play?

We don’t need to see much more of Nathaniel Hackett to know he’s a bottom 1 coach in the league.
