Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears are trying to get their first win of the season Sunday against the Buccaneers, but one major problem keeps popping up for the QB in Sunday’s game - he can’t get the ball out of his hand in time.
Fields, who is in his third year in the NFL, took four ugly sacks in the first half against Tampa Bay. While he was able to run for a touchdown in the first quarter, he has been driving fans a little nuts by not making plays in the pocket.
This sack in the second quarter was pretty ugly:

Here was another bad sack:

It's been a rough start for Fields:
Justin Fields has taken 4 bad sacks that are entirely his fault.

He has fumbled on one.
All 4 plays included 3+ seconds in the pocket, multiple open receivers, and ample rushing lanes.
The 2nd quarter isn't over yet.
Justin Fields is completely lost.
NFL fans didn’t hold back:
Justin Fields man. Absolutely zero internal clock. Has sacked himself several times today

Justin Fields sacked on third down, fumbled too but Bears get back on it.

Still had plenty of time.
Internal clock of Fields is becoming a huge worry.
Justin Fields looks lost at times. Holds onto the ball way too long.

Either Justin Fields has gotta throw the ball quicker or the offense needs to actually have some quick game/intermediate offense built into it because none of this is good

Justin Fields just missed a wide-open DJ Moore on that 3rd and 13 play. He held onto the ball way too long, and took a sack. Gotta be better.

Justin Fields' internal clock is an hourglass.

Does any QB in the NFL hold the ball even half as long as Justin Fields? It is absurd how long he holds it

Justin Fields 5 seconds to throw… fumble

We are witnessing the single worst player to ever play the QB position
Justin Fields is holding the ball way too long

Those last two plays are on him
