Thursday Night Football got off to a lackluster start in Week 2, as the Eagles and Vikings’ offenses failed to get much of anything going during the first quarter.
The primetime game did not live up to its billing early on, as a 24-yard field goal from Philadelphia’s Jake Elliott marked the only scoring through the first quarter of play, though he missed a 55-yard attempt shortly after.
While Minnesota eventually broke through for a touchdown early into the second quarter, the slow start did not sit well with NFL fans who had been anticipating a more entertaining affair.
Social media was abuzz with fans ripping into both the Vikings and Eagles over their appalling start to the Thursday Night Football showdown.

I've seen wet paper hold up better than the Vikings' interior OL. It's basically a freeway.

In the first quarter, we had an INT, two fumbles, a missed field goal, and a QB getting sacked by his own lineman.

Thursday Night Football is so back.
The first quarter we just watched is a good exhibit on why no NFL team should be playing Thursday Night Football.
