NFL fans mercilessly roasted Aaron Rodgers for being ‘washed up’ as the Packers’ lifeless offense struggled again

The Packers and Aaron Rodgers — like another NFC “power” and their future Hall of Fame quarterback — entered 2022 with Super Bowl aspirations. At this rate, the 38-year-old Rodgers might want to start looking ahead to plans after NFL football sooner rather than later.

Green Bay suffered its third consecutive defeat on Sunday in an uninspiring 23-21 rock fight with the Commanders (+4.5). And it’s how Rodgers and the Pack lost that should be most concerning — their lifeless offense, undoubtedly due largely to Rodgers — cannot launch off the ground.

Rodgers’ Packers didn’t convert a third down (0-of-6) against Washington. They had 38 yards rushing. At one point, late in the third quarter, Rodgers had 65 total yards passing — he finished with 194 net! I know it still might be too early to declare definitively, but the current Packers’ attack certainly resembles the kind that a quarterback on his last legs would lead.

Good Packers teams and quarterbacks definitely don’t have stats like this:

Rodgers would ask (paraphrased): What are the Packers doing?

Well, what is he doing? Look at this man!

He is defeated right now. And I’m starting to get the sense the 3-4 Packers, and a mediocre Rodgers won’t be pulling out of this tailspin.
