Miami head coach Mike McDaniel did not appear overly concerned about any potential knee injury suffered by Dolphins rookie running back De'Von Achane in Sunday’s win over the Giants.
McDaniel, despite admitting that the star rookie back is being evaluated for a knee injury, opted at one point to not seriously respond to questions during his Monday press conference. For instance, is Achane undergoing an MRI exam?
“There’s various things that he’s undergoing, handshakes as well, high fives. I think from all accounts he had a good breakfast and lunch,” said a joking McDaniel.
Achane, who ranks second behind Christian McCaffrey among all NFL running backs with 460 rushing yards, is averaging an amazing 12.1 yards per rush in four games. The third-round pick out of Texas A&M is second on the team behind Raheem Mostert (8) with seven total touchdowns.

Achane's feat of three straight games with 100 rush yards and a rushing touchdown has only been accomplished by two rookies (Mike Anderson, 2000 and Barry Sanders, 1989) during the last 35 seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
Despite facing a potential major blow to their high-powered offensive attack, NFL fans were enamored with McDaniel’s hilarious response and attitude.
