The Kansas City Chiefs’ postseason hopes seemed to take a big hit early in Saturday’s divisional round playoff game with the Jacksonville Jaguars when Patrick Mahomes suffered a painful lower right leg injury and had to head to the locker room in the second quarter.
The Chiefs then gave the keys to their offense to Chad Henne, the 37-year-old backup QB who is amazing still in the league.
Henne did a phenomenal job in his first possession, as he led the Chiefs on a 99-yard drive that ended with a short touchdown pass to Travis Kelce.
But still, NFL fans had jokes about Henne.
UPDATE: Mahomes came back and started the first drive of the second half.
