Play over two decades in the NFL, and you’re bound to see a healthy balance of peaks and valleys. Though, for Tom Brady, winner of seven Super Bowls, Sunday’s clunker in Carolina might have been an all-time valley for the legendary quarterback.
You see, while Carolina’s coaches and players might still be pushing the full throttle, the Panthers as an organization aren’t necessarily “trying” to win. A fascinating trade of Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers points to the likely plans of the fire-selling Panthers in the coming days. They’re one of the NFL’s worst teams!
And yet, Brady’s Buccaneers — once considered a prime preseason contender for the Super Bowl in the NFC — couldn’t even score double-digit points against the Panthers in a beyond-embarrassing 21-3 defeat. (Maybe things shake out differently if Mike Evans doesn’t inexplicably drop a layup TD.)
You know, the more time passes by, maybe Brady should really consider stepping away and retiring from the NFL rather than continuing to play forever.
When a team you play for has its worst record in two decades, you should probably take that as a sign:
With his Week 7 loss to the Panthers, Tom Brady has a losing record through his first 7 games of a season for the first time since 2002 — his first full season as an NFL starting QB and the only healthy season of his career in which he did not make the playoffs.

NFL fans weren’t kind to Brady after the now 3-4 Buccaneers suffered one of the worst losses of his illustrious Hall of Fame career.

Tom Brady and the Bucs were blown out by a team who:
Fired their head coach

is it safe to say Tom Brady is at the lowest point of his career?

It’s not gonna get the primetime attention that Russell Wilson has gotten basically every week, but Tom Brady getting shut out by the Panthers might be the most washed QB performance of the year.

If you’re wondering what is going on with the Tampa Bay Bucs this year remember that Tom Brady looked at this team and literally tried to play somewhere else

Tom Brady did not come out of retirement for this.
The Bucs will have lost to the Steelers (1-4 entering the game) and the Panthers (1-5 entering the game) in back to back weeks.

Tom Brady should just pull a Vontae Davis 🤷🏾♂️

Just think, Tom Brady could have been in a TV booth somewhere today making $300-plus million instead of getting pounded by the Panthers for far less.

Tom Brady going out like this is the absolute best. Had the perfect ending to ride off into the sunset and it’s delightful he ruined it.

Tom Brady could have retire after winning a Super Bowl without Belichick. Could have retired last season after a near-miss on a miraculous comeback. Stayed instead to get trounced by a Panthers team being sold for parts
