Packers quarterback Jordan Love may be the new sheriff in town, but the first-year starter quickly endeared himself to cheeseheads everywhere Sunday after leading his team to another dominant win over the Bears.
A 38–20 Packers victory in Chicago saw Love out-duel Justin Fields to finish the day 15–of–27 for 245 yards and three touchdown passes. The lopsided contest marked the ninth-straight victory for the Packers and coach Matt LaFleur, who’s never lost to the Bears, over their NFC North rival.
With Love & Co in control for most of the afternoon, many Chicago fans, after years of bitter Ls at the hands of Green Bay, appeared to have enough of the game near its end and began marching out of Soldier Field with more than 12 minutes left in regulation.

Sunday’s embarrassing performance, combined with the shot of the stands emptying by the minute, summed up what was an all-around forgettable season opener for Fields, the Bears and their (usually) loyal fans.
Unfortunately for Chicago, the bad vibes continued long after the game as NFL fans roasted the club for dropping yet another matchup to Green Bay in brutal fashion:
All that talk this offseason. Rodgers is gone. Justin Fields this, Justin Fields that. Jordan Love sucks. It’s a new era.

And the Green Bay Packers still just absolutely pulverize the Chicago Bears. Just like they always do. You absolutely love to see it. pic.twitter.com/lVPPKxVRTX
Very nice of Aaron Rodgers to sell his ownership of the Bears to Jordan Love on the way out of town.

Adds to his legacy, no doubt.
Aaron Rodgers used to own the Bears. He just passed the deed to Jordan Love. #Packers win! pic.twitter.com/xQlut5EPqh

It doesn't matter who the Packers' QB is.
The Packers own the Bears.
Packers fans: "We know that Rodgers is gone but it would be great if you could still help us own the Bears."
