NFL draft week is always a chaotic time when it comes to the news cycle. Rumors are constantly bombarding fans—good or bad, about certain players and teams. One NFL executive bluntly assessed the situation and put it in plain terms.
“Everybody is lying,” Colts general manager Chris Ballard told NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano on Friday. “I might be the most honest, unfortunately. But everyone is lying.”
Indianapolis has the No. 4 pick in this year’s draft, and Ballard said he had “no clue” who will be picked in the first three spots, per Yahoo Sports. Of course, Ballard could be lying.
Alabama’s Bryce Young is likely going to be selected with the No. 1 pick by the Panthers, but after that it’s anyone’s guess. The Colts are in need of a signal-caller, leaving Ohio State’s CJ Stroud, Kentucky’s Will Levis and Florida’s Anthony Richardson as the next best options at the position.
It’s anyone’s guess what happens on Thursday night, but all the action starts at 8 p.m. ET in Kansas City.
