ESPN NFL draft expert Jordan Reid highlights the Pittsburgh Steelers as a potential destination for Georgia Bulldogs center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger in the 2024 NFL draft. The Steelers are looking for a new starter at center after releasing Mason Cole.
According to Reid, Pittsburgh could also target Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson in the draft. Another option for the Steelers would be addressing the center position in free agency.
Reid notes that both Van Pran-Granger and Powers-Johnson are centers that could potentially start right away in the NFL. Sedrick Van Pran-Granger was named as an All-SEC selection following his outstanding 2023 college football season.
Van Pran-Granger is ready to anchor an offensive line at the next level. He has suffered just two losses as a starter in college and is a winner. If the Steelers draft Van Pran-Granger, then he would be reunited with several of his former Georgia teammates in wide receiver George Pickens, tight end Darnell Washington, and offensive tackle Broderick Jones.
Van Pran-Granger brings toughness, physicality and smarts to the NFL. The 2024 NFL draft will be held in Detroit, Michigan, from April 25-27.
