The latest odds for the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft show a shake-up at the top of the board, as Oregon pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux is no longer favored to go first…or even second.
Though the names in the top three remain unchanged, the initial draft odds on Tipico Sportsbook had Thibodeaux as the heavy favorite with -105 odds to be drafted first. Now, those odds are up to +280 and trail Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson at +140 and Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal at +200.
NFL Draft No. 1 Pick Odds
Aidan Hutchinson +140
Evan Neal +200
Kayvon Thibodeaux +280
Ikem Ekwonu +500
Malik Willis +3000
Charles Cross +3000
NC State tackle Ikem Ekwonu saw one of the biggest leaps, going from outside the top 10 to having the fourth-best odds at +500. Liberty quarterback Malik Willis and Mississippi State tackle Charles Cross are tied at fifth with +3000 odds.
The changes reflect recent mock drafts, which show Neal as the consensus top pick headed to the Jacksonville Jaguars. While the Jaguars could use a pass rusher, they also need to solidify the line in front of last year’s top pick, quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Most mocks also have Hutchinson going second to the Detroit Lions, who should be very familiar with the local product.
The latest mocks by For The Win and Sports Illustrated have Thibodeaux going third to the Houston Texans. NFL.com also has the Texans taking Thibodeaux but that they could trade back and get him at No. 6. ESPN’s latest mock has him going No. 5 to the New York Giants.
