NFL DFS Week 14 Bargain Picks: More Gardner Minshew Magic

If you’ve paid up for your Sunday DFS studs and now you’re looking for some salary relief, you’ve come to the right place!

All of the players below could return value for their bargain salaries. This list is going to get pretty gritty, so buckle up.

Quarterbacks

Gardner Minshew, Colts

Robert Scheer/USA TODAY Network

Who is ready for more Minshew magic? We saw Minshew throw for more than 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns vs. the Titans last week, and this week’s matchup is even juicier vs. the Bengals, who just allowed a massive game to Trevor Lawrence on Monday night. The Bengals have allowed the eighth-most DFS points to opposing quarterbacks this year.

Joe Flacco, Browns

If Flacco gets the start, this is a fun GPP play. The veteran looked better than most starters last week when he threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns even while facing Aaron Donald. This week, he gets a much friendlier matchup vs. a Jaguars team that just allowed a career day to backup QB Jake Browning. The Jaguars have allowed the third-most DFS points to quarterbacks this season.

Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers

With reliable stud Mike Evans as his WR1, Mayfield offers a solid floor. Baker has been held to no touchdowns only once this season, and this week he has a plus matchup with a Falcons team that has allowed the second-most DFS points per game to opposing quarterbacks across the past three contests.

Running Backs

Keaton Mitchell, Ravens

The matchup is only so/so and he’s in a three-person committee, but we are betting on the talent. Mitchell looks incredible, averaging more than nine yards per attempt this season. He played more than 50% of the snaps on Sunday before the bye, and his role could increase this week.

Devin Singletary, Texans

The Jets have been very generous to opposing runners this season, mostly through the air. They have allowed the sixth-most receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns to opposing runners. Singletary is the pass-catching back in this offense and he continues to out-snap Dameon Pierce.

Samaje Perine, Broncos

Perine is the pass-catching back for Denver and he could be worth a gamble as the Chargers have allowed the third-most receiving yards and a 76% catch-rate to opposing runners.

Joshua Kelley/Isaiah Spiller (DART), Chargers

Brandon Staley has hinted there could be a shakeup at the RB position this weekend. If you think it may not be smoke and mirrors, that makes Kelley and possibly even Spiller startable this weekend vs. Denver. No team has allowed more rushing yards per game than the Broncos (128), who have also allowed 10 rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns, for a total of 14 touchdowns to opposing runners this year.

Wide Receivers

Elijah Moore, Browns

Amari Cooper left the game Sunday with a concussion, and Moore took over as the offense's focal point with Flacco, seeing 11 targets and catching four for 83 yards. Whether Flacco starts again or not, Moore is worth a play as Cooper likely remains sidelined for this week's contest vs. a Jacksonville secondary that has allowed the eighth-most DFS points per game to opposing wideouts this year.

Khalil Shakir, Bills

Jamie Germano/USA TODAY Network

If you’d like inexpensive exposure to the game with the highest total on the slate, Shakir is a good option. Over his last five starts, Shakir has had two games with at least 92 receiving yards.

Marvin Mims Jr., Broncos

I’ll keep banging the Mims drum until Sean Peyton hears me. Mims is a deep threat that can break off a big play even if he doesn’t get a high volume of targets. The Chargers are the perfect team to be exploited.

Tight Ends

Gerald Everett, Chargers

No tight end has a better matchup than Everett this weekend, and the Broncos have allowed the most DFS points per game to the position.

Harrison Bryant, Browns

Flacco likes to target his tight ends, so last week we assumed it would be another day for David Njoku. It was Bryant, however, who got the veteran QB’s attention. He caught all five of his targets for 49 yards and a score and has now found the end zone in back-to-back weeks. If Flacco starts again, Bryant is a nice dart.

Brevin Jordan, Texans

If Dalton Schultz remains out, Jordan is a start vs. a Jets defense that has allowed the ninth-most DFS points to the position.
