Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been impressive during the first half of their 2022 campaign.
The former first-round pick has won all six of the games that he’s started and finished while completing 69.9% of his passes for 1,980 yards, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also leads the NFL with a 115.9 passer rating.
Obviously, having new head coach Mike McDaniel’s system and two stud playmakers in Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill has helped, but Miami hasn’t been able to earn a win without Tagovailoa this year.
This has led Tagovailoa to have his name brought up in certain conversations regarding the Most Valuable Player honor. Former NFL Network analyst Kay Adams argued for Tagovailoa to be “front and center” for these discussions, on her show, “Up & Adams.”

While it’s probably not fair to say that Tagovailoa has been the best quarterback in the league, it’s clear that he’s valuable to this team, and he’s playing very well. If he continues this pace, there’s no reason he can’t be one of the top candidates by the season’s end.
