Confidence in Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is at an all-time low after Saturday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Very early reports are that the team has no plans to move on from Tomlin despite another playoff failure.
This hasn’t stopped analysts and pundits from talking about Pittsburgh getting rid of Tomlin with FOX’s Jimmy Johnson offering up the most ridiculous coach swap hypothetical of them all.
Wild: FOX’s Jimmy Johnson suggests the #Steelers and #Cowboys do a coach swap to help their struggles:
“How about a coaching swap? Mike McCarthy is a Pittsburgh guy. Let him go to [the Steelers]. Let Mike Tomlin go to [the Cowboys].”

There’s no denying Mike McCarthy and Tomlin are two of the most underachieving head coaches in the NFL. But the idea of trading two underachieving coaches in hopes of sparking both of their careers is an awfully risky proposition.
