The 2023 NFL Draft is fast approaching as top college players prepare to make the leap into the professional game.
This year's Draft is being held in Kansas City and begins on Thursday, April 27. The Scouting Combine was recently held in Indianapolis, giving college players the chance to showcase their talents to interested teams.
The Draft works by giving the most recent season's worst-performing teams a chance to select a top college player to come and play for them. Draft picks can also be traded for established NFL players, evening the League up a bit in terms of which players are playing where.

NFL writer Lance Zierlein, an NFL Media Draft Analyst, has put together a 'Mock Draft', a popular method of predicting who may land where according to a team's need and player preference. Linebacker Will Anderson is predicted to be taken first while quarterback Bryce Young is expected to be the second pick of the Draft by the Houston Texans making it two Alabama prospects drafted with the first two picks.
The Las Vegas Raiders are tipped to make the third pick of the Draft by taking C.J. Stroud from Ohio State and the Indianapolis Colts are thought to be going for the Florida Gators' Anthony Richardson. Completing the first five Draft picks in the NFL's Mock Draft is Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter to the Seattle Seahawks.
Anderson, meanwhile, has met with the Bears ahead of potentially being taken as the first pick of the Draft. "It went really good," he said.
"We went in there and watched a couple tapes. "(They) really just got to know me and I got to know them, the culture is great there and I can tell they are onto something special."
On the prospect of being the first pick of the Draft, Anderson added: "It would mean a lot you know, just like I said all my hard work paying off. "You know and just to have that spot, it's big time and I’m really appreciative if I will have that opportunity."
