NFC West star to be traded!

The NFC West will look a little different in 2025. The Los Angeles Rams have informed star receiver Cooper Kupp that they are seeking a trade, Kupp announced via social media.

He did not request the trade and does not want to be traded.

Kupp, the son of former Cardinals quarterback Craig Kupp, will be 32 years old next season. He is due $20 million in 2025 — $12.5 million in salary, including $5 million guaranteed, and a $7.5 million roster bonus due on March 15. He under contract through 2026.

He led the NFL with 145 receptions, 1,947 receiving yards and 16 receiving touchdowns in 2021 and was 2021 Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl MVP as the Rams won the championship that season.

Since then, he has not played in more than 12 games in a season. In 2024, he played in 12, catching 67 receptions for 710 yards and six scores.

The Rams assuredly would not even consider trading him to Arizona, being a division rival, and it is uncertain whether the Cardinals would be interested in a 32-year-old receiver who has not played a full season in three years.

We shall see how this plays out in the weeks to come leading up to the new league year.

No trades can be officially made until the new league year on March 12, but teams can agree to deals. They just will not officially occur until the league year begins.
