The Atlanta Falcons began the season with a ton of promise but after losing five of their last seven games, it’s clear the wheels are starting to fall off. Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings was a new low and as a result, the Falcons no longer lead the NFC South.
The New Orleans Saints defeated the Chicago Bears in Week 9 to leapfrog Atlanta in the division standings. Meanwhile, both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers lost on Sunday.

In other Falcons news, head coach Arthur Smith said Taylor Heinicke will remain as the team’s starting quarterback for another week. However, Smith said the coaches would evaluate the QB situation during the team’s bye in Week 11.
