Neymar has provided an update on his ankle injury that saw him miss two group stage fixtures for Brazil. The Paris Saint-Germain superstar suffered a knock on his ankle which resulted in him missing the games against Switzerland and Cameroon.
Neymar was expected to be fit for the latter stages of the World Cup, but reports from Brazil suggested he may miss the remainder of the tournament. Brazil were set to make a decision on Neymar’s involvement in the World Cup after their defeat to Cameroon on Friday.
Pictures released after the Serbia match showed the 30-year-old's ankle had become extremely swollen with scans later showing that he had sprained it. There was a chance Neymar has sustained ligament damage which would all but rule him out of the rest of the World Cup in what would be a major blow to Brazil, but the Brazilian winger has confirmed himself to be fit for the clash against South Korea next week.

Neymar watched his teammates fall to a last-minute defeat in their final group stage match but Brazil remain favourites for the tournament. Tite is set to name his strongest lineup once again for the clash against Korea, who beat Portugal in their final group match, after rotating his squad.
Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus is set to join defender Alex Telles in being ruled out for the remainder of the tournament after both suffered leg injuries against Cameroon. Neymar has handed Brazil a huge injury boost though after seemingly confirming himself to be fit for the round of 16 clash against South Korea.
Neymar tweeted: "I feel good, I knew that I would now *hand emoji* *wink tongue emoji* *hand emoji*."
The PSG star's return to the squad will be a massive boost as he aims to help his nation to World Cup glory in what could be his final major international tournament.
