Julian Nagelsmann is the frontrunner to be the next Tottenham manager. That is, at least, according to the bookmakers.
Spurs have tried on at least two occasions to lure Nagelsmann to N17 in the past and retain a long-held admiration for the recently departed Bayern Munich boss. Spurs are looking for their fourth permanent manager in four years, following the reigns of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte since Mauricio Pochettino's exit.
The summer may finally be the perfect time to tempt the young manager to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the stars appearing to align for him to take over from the departed Antonio Conte. There are, however, plenty of other names in the frame for the coveted job in north London.

football.london understands that as well as Nagelsmann , and of course a return for Pochettino, Spurs have shown an interest in Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi, Brentford's Thomas Frank, Oliver Glasner of Eintracht Frankfurt, Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou, Luis Enrique, Sergio Conceicao and Vincent Kompany at Burnley.
Nagelsmann is the favourite, however, and is almost odds-on to be the man in the dugout come the first game of the 2023/24 season. According to Betfair, odds slashed overnight on the German to be the next boss, dropping from 13/8 to 5/4 now.
Betfair spokesman Sam Rosbottom said: "The search for who will be in the Spurs' dugout for the first game next season continues, and one name is currently dominating the betting market. Since his exit from the Bayern Munich top job, punters have been heavily backing Julian Nagelsmann, and odds on the 35-year-old to be in charge for the opening match of next season continue to fall. Overnight we have slashed his odds from 13/8 to 5/4, with punters continuing to back the German.
"Fan favourite and former manager Mauricio Pochettino is currently second favourite at 4/1, and with most of the bets going for Naglesmann, Poch's chances have been on the drift."
