There is a familiar situation at Tottenham Hotspur - unrest over who will be the club's head coach come the start of next season. Antonio Conte left the club by mutual consent on Sunday night, replaced by his assistant Cristian Stellini until the end of the current campaign.
Stellini will oversee ten games in the top flight, with the aim of getting Spurs back into the Champions League for next season. Stellini was something of a surprise choice as interim head coach, given his connection with Conte. Many had expected Ryan Mason to take over until the end of the year.
Stellini could of course stake a claim to have the job permanently for the start of the 2023/24 season too, with performances in the final ten games of this campaign.

But, it would seem more than likely that Daniel Levy and Spurs will look elsewhere to appoint a new permanent head coach. So who could that be?
Levy will be drawing up a shortlist, but there appears to already be two names ahead of everyone else, with the chance of a third and fourth creeping into the thinking.
Following his departure from Bayern Munich last week, Julian Nagelsmann has gone right to the top of the list. Spurs have tried to lure him to north London before, and Nagelsmann is a big admirer of the club.
football.london understands that the young coach forged a real connection with the north London team during Mauricio Pochettino's tenure and became a big fan of their style of play under the Argentine. He was high on Spurs' list of candidates to replace Pochettino in 2019 and they then tried to lure him to N17 after Jose Mourinho's exit in 2021, but Nagelsmann was already heading to Bayern.
It is coincidental that Nagelsmann's apparent competition for the Spurs job now is Pochettino, who has been heavily linked with a second stint at the helm. Pochettino has already stated that he has unfinished business at Spurs and would one day like to return.
Oliver Glasner is another name in the frame, with Tottenham reportedly making contact with him over the role. He would be open to a move, with Eintracht Frankfurt eyeing up potential replacements already.
Then there is former Spain boss Luis Enrique. Speaking in 2013, he told FourFourTwo: "I'd like to manage England at some point. My wife wouldn't like the weather, she's from Barcelona and likes the sun. It would depend on the team and the football they played."
With Stellini in charge until the end of the season, bookmakers Betfair have a special for who will be in charge for the first game of 2023/24. Nagelsmann is the 15/8 favourite, with Pochettino at 3/1. Oliver Glasner is 5/1, with Luis Enrique at 9/1.
