Next shoppers applaud 'classic and comfortable' £38 Spring sandals that look like £99 Dr Martens

If you’re looking to upgrade your wardrobe to get it Summer ready, eagle-eyed shoppers have found the “perfect” sandals in Next that are almost identical to Dr Martens. The Chunky Gladiator Sandals from the British retailer cost just £38, which is a fraction of what the Blaire Sandals cost.

Fashion lovers have shared the sandals on TikTok, with @kimberleyfletcher_ saying: “Run don’t walk to Next for these Doc Marten dupes. Only £38 and so comfy.” Kimberley added that she will “get so much wear out of these.”

Dr Marten’s £99 Blaire Sandal is an extremely popular style of sandal that is the perfect shoe for Spring and Summer.

The gladiator-style Blaire Hydro is said to be “ideal for stomping through summer and getting noticed. Combining a lightweight ripple sole with a durable Goodyear welt, the sandals have a slight wedge for height and a padded collar for comfort.”

Similarly, Next’s version of the open-toe sandal is described online as “cute and comfortable, this is a pairing that will work just as well with your mom jeans as with your favourite sundress.

“We love the feature buckle detail and chunky sole not to mention the comfy moulded footbed.”

The Chunky Gladiator Sandals come in three colours - Black, Gold and Bone Cream.

However Next isn’t the only fashion retailer competing with the popular Dr Martens as Marks and Spencers has also released a similar style sandal.

The M&S version is more lightweight than the famous footwear brand however they cost just £45.

The Leather Ankle Strap Flat Sandals are available in an all black style, as well as both brown and gunmetal which feature a tan coloured sole and footbed.
