Nottingham Forest's play-off victory over Huddersfield on Sunday confirmed the 24 teams that will compete across the Championship next season.
It will be a northern adventure for the majority of the campaign with Rotherham, Wigan and Sunderland coming up from League One while Burnley, Norwich and Watford were the three sides to come down from the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Bournemouth, Peterborough, Barnsley and Derby were the sides replaced, meaning for those who do the hard miles across the country to watch the Robins away from home, there are certainly going to be a number of long trips on the horizon.
Middlesbrough travelled the furthest last season clocking up a total of 7013.5 miles calculated from stadium to stadium as the crow flies. Figures from sportsvenuetracker had Bournemouth second with 6735.6 while Bristol City were the eighth highest with a total of 5406 miles on the clock.
Although that figure is set to increase dramatically next season considering the new sides in the league. The Robins will now travel for a total of 7,414 miles in total - 2008 miles more than the last campaign.
To put that into some context, that's a trip to Argentina's capital Buenos Aires with over 500 miles left over.
The away journey to Sunderland will be the furthest that City will travel, with a 590-mile round-trip to the Stadium of Light and back. Middlesbrough is the second further at 540 ahead of Norwich (502) and Hull (462).
The trip to Severnside rivals Cardiff is the shortest journey on the calendar totalling an 88-mile round-trip, ahead of Reading (160) and Swansea (162).
There are five teams in the north west in Blackpool, Burnley, Preston, Wigan and Blackburn. Northern trips to Huddersfield, Sheffield United and Rotherham will also mean a lot of time spent on the road. Those who enjoy a trip to the capital will be eyeing up away days to Queens Park Rangers and Millwall.
Seven of City's rivals are also set to travel further than 7,000 miles in the league with Sunderland and Swansea both accumulating more than 9,000 on the clock. Norwich, Cardiff and Middlesbrough hit more than 8,000.
Milwall and Reading are the two other sides who will be faced with journeys totalling over 7,000 miles. The Midland sides will have the shortest journeys in total, with Birmingham, West Brom and Coventry to total around 5,000.
In regards to journey times, the trip to Sunderland and back will take around 10 hours in total from Ashton Gate, with the journey to Middlesbrough is likely to take in the region of nine hours in total.
