Next Rangers manager odds latest as early frontrunner emerges after Clement sacked

Steven Gerrard has emerged as the early frontrunner to replace Philippe Clement as Rangers manager.

The Belgian was sacked on Sunday, February 23 after defeat to St Mirren the previous day. Players have been informed with an official statement to be released confirming Clement's departure.

Quickly odds have been released for punters to predict who will be the next manager at Ibrox.

BetVictor have priced Gerrard at 4/1 to return to Ibrox as the next permanent Rangers manager with the Liverpool legend currently a free agent after leaving Al-Ettifaq.

Former Southampton boss Russell Martin - who spent time on loan at Rangers - is next in line at 5/1. He would also be available as a free agent having left the Premier League club earlier this season.

Kevin Muscat - who was previously touted for Rangers - is priced at 6/1 alongside Gary O'Neil.

Steve Cooper and Sean Dyche are further back at 8/1 for a shot in the Ibrox hotseat.
