Who Will Be The Next Leicester City Manager? Michael Carrick Favourite (Just)

The SportsCasting traders and best football betting sites in the UK are constantly updating their next Leicester City manager odds market – even though the Foxes have only just appointed Ruud Van Nistelrooy to replace sacked Steve Cooper.

With Van Nistelrooy having an average start to his time at the King Power, then a few more bad football results will start to see some pressure mount of the former Dutch striker.

The name topping the next Leicester manager betting market with our experts is Michael Carrick.

Carrick, of course, is best known for being a player for West Ham, Manchester United and England – but since hanging up his playing boots has turned his hand to management.

He’s also been caretaker manager at the Red Devils when José Mourinho was sacked back in December 2018.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at United and kept Carrick on in his coaching staff – and when Solskjaer left in 2019, Carrick again stepped in as caretaker.

Since then, Carrick has left United to become the Middlesbrough manager, where he’s been since 2022 and has caught the eye of many.

Including guiding Boro to the EFL Cup semi-final in 2023-24 and finished 8th in the Championship.

With another solid start to the 2024-25 season, some are suggesting Carrick is ready to take the helm at a Premier League side – so could this former United player replace another – if Van Nistelrooy is sacked at Leicester?

Could David Moyes Be The Next Leicester City Manager?

Since departing West Ham at the end of the 2023-24 season, David Moyes has been connected to many vacant manager roles – including Leicester City.

The Scotsman campaigned the Hammers to European victory when in charge of the London club in 2023 but after a tough following season ended his spell at West Ham.

Therefore, David Moyes is a free agent – and that coupled with a stack of Premier League experience (remember he was also at Everton and Man Utd) will make him an attractive option for any top-flight side looking to fill a manager gap in the bid to keep their Premier League status.

Other Next Leicester City Manager Options, According To The Betting

Slightly older football fans will remember Mark Robins banging the goals in for Manchester United and Norwich back in the late 80’s and 90’s. But he also played over 55 times for Leicester City between 1995-98.

Therefore, with clubs often favouring a previous link back to the club, the best betting sites in the UK are also taking no chances on Mark Robins being the next Leicester City manager.

Robins was recently at Coventry (second spell), where he was in charge of 387 games and winning 154. Coventry and Robins, however, parted ways in early November despite being the longest serving Championship manager at the time.

Graham Potter Another Linked To Leicester City

Other names being linked to the next Leicester City manager – according to the odds – is Graham Potter.

The former Chelsea boss hasn’t worked since leaving the Blues in April 2023, but many feel he’s ready to make a return to the dugout. Could Leicester City be the perfect fit for Potter?

Commentary: sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Andy Newton, reacted to our Leicester City Manager Odds’ saying:

“Current Leicester City manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy might have only just joined the Foxes, but the world of football managers can often take no prisoners – and with only an average start to his time at the King Power, you sense the pressure is already growing on the Dutchman.

“If Ruud does have a short spell at the Midlands club, then you feel Leicester will want a quick fix and also plenty of experience to give them a fighting chance or avoiding relegation. So, with that in mind, David Moyes would certainly fit the bill.
