Who Will Be The Next Everton Manager?

Ex-Everton manager Sean Dyche joined the club back in January 2023.

However, he only just avoided getting them relegated that season (17th), while the last season wasn’t much better with the Toffees ending up 15th.

The are also takeover rumours at Goodison Park and with that could come uncertainly for any new manager.

The Merseysiders haven’t exactly turned things around during the first half of the 2024-25 season either.

Everton are also one of the longest-serving English football top-flight clubs – they were last relegated in the 1950-51 season, so will be keen to not ruin this long-standing record.

Only Arsenal have been in the English top tier longer than the Toffeemen.

With that in mind, the SportsCasting traders and best football betting sites in the UK are constantly updating their next Everton manager odds.

Especially now that the Merseyside club have finally called time on Sean Dyche’s time at the club.

After a recent 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday 4th January 2025, this further cranked up the pressure on Dyche.

He was finally sacked on Thursday (9th Jan) afternoon. This came just hours before Everton’s next game is a FA Cup third round clash at home to Peterborough.

David Moyes Also Well-Fancied In The Next Everton Manager Market For Goodison Return

David Moyes is an Everton club legend – having spent 12 years at the club between 2002 and 2013.

Plus, being another free agent, he’s always going to be a possible target for the struggling Premier League side.

Since parting ways with West Ham at the end of the 2023-24 season, David Moyes is also another manager that gets linked with a lot of clubs.

Many will feel his wealth of experience (don’t forget he also managed Man Utd).

The Scot was also in charge of the Hammers when they tasted European glory in 2023. However, after a tough following season left West Ham.

Therefore, it’s no shock to see the best betting sites in the UK pitching Moyes high up their lists in the next Everton manager odds market.

Being in the new favourite in the market at Evs.

José Mourinho Also Backed To Replace Sean Dyche In Next Everton Manager Odds Market

The latest name to attract interest in the next Everton manager betting market is José Mourhino. He’s now reported to be the new second behind Moyes.

Mourhino is still at Turkish side Fenerbache and currently sit second in the league behind Galatasary.

However, with rumours ‘The Special One’ might be getting restless in Turkey, the experts are not ruling out a return to the Premier League where he’s made himself a ‘marmite’ character over the years.

If José Mourhino is to be the next Everton manager, this would be his eleventh different side he’s managed and his fourth in the English Premier League.

Mourhino, of course, had successful spells at Chelsea (twice) and Manchester United in the past. Plus, was has at the helm in the Premier League at Tottenham between 2019 and 2021.

The layers are making José Mourinho the new second favourite in the next Everton manager odds market. Now the Toffeeman have parted ways with Sean Dyche.

Graham Potter Was Tipped To Replace Sean Dyche at Everton… But Headed To West Ham Instead

Graham Potter made a big name for himself at Brighton during his four year spell at the seaside club between 2019 and 2022. He was snapped up by Chelsea as a result in September 2022 – replacing the now England manager Thomas Tuchel.

However, his time at the London club didn’t go to plan and was sacked after taking charge of just 31 Chelsea games. Losing eleven of these.

He’s since been on the sidelines – but with a reported big payoff from the Blues this didn’t matter. But now many feel that Graham Potter is readying himself for a return to management.

The experts are suggesting that with Potter a free agent and having now clauses for other clubs to tackle. This makes him an easy option for any Premier League side trying to get his services.

However, Graham Potter is now the new West Ham manager.

Lee Carsley Another Name In The Next Everton Manager Market

Another name in the next Everton manager odds market is former England stand-in coach – Lee Carsley.

Despite getting some mixed reactions, Lee Carsley did enough for many to suggest it won’t be long before a Premier League sides comes knocking.

While with Carsley being a former Everton player that racked up over 150 appearances. The Toffees could be a perfect fit.

Carsley is, however, priced at 5/1 – the same odds as another former England man Gareth Southgate. Therefore, the experts are suggesting others look more likely to take the post.

While former player Leighton Baines at 10/1 is also in the mix.

Commentary: sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Andy Newton, reacted to our Everton Manager Odds’ saying:

“Everton have been ‘Dyching’ with death over the last three seasons – only just avoiding the drop from the Premier League, and with an average start to the 2024-25 campaign Sean Dyche has been sacked.

“There is also talk of a potential takeover at Everton, which will also add fuel to the flames about Dyches’ future. You feel Graham Potter would be have been a good fit for the club as he looks to get his managerial career back on track – but he’s joined West Ham.

“However, being at the foot of the table, Everton will need to find someone who knows the club well and can hit the ground running – which would make David Moyes a safe call.

“But the money in recent days has come for Jose Mourhino, who is still at Turkish side Fenerbahce. But it would be no shocker to see the Special One make a return to the Premier League.
