Next Derby County manager odds: Aston Villa, Rangers and former Bristol City, West Brom and Liverpool men in the frame as Frank Lampard speaks with Chelsea

Derby County look set to be on the lookout for a new manager soon.

The Rams have given Frank Lampard permission to speak with Chelsea over the vacant hotseat at Stamford Bridge.

If Lampard takes the job, it will see him sensationally returning to the Blues as manager just five years after leaving the club as a legendary player.

Remarkably, the 41-year-old has only been in management for a year, leading Derby to sixth place in the Championship as they pipped Bristol City to the play-offs.

So who will the Rams get in should Lampard leave? The whole of the Championship will no doubt be keeping a keen eye on proceedings, with teams like the Robins eager to see what a potential top-six rival does.

The Sack Race has the latest odds and they make for interesting reading.

Danny Cowley is favourite for the job following his sterling work with Lincoln City, whilst Chris Hughton and Darren Moore are also in the frame.

Former Robins boss Derek McInnes is a rank outsider at 25/1.
