ABDUCTION is fancied to take his record in the care of Charlie Wallis to two wins from as many starts with a victory in the Betway’s 1000th Race Sponsored At Wolverhampton (5.30) at Dunstall Park today.
The four-year-old son of Acclamation, previously in the care of Richard Fahey, went off a 33-1 chance when making his debut for Wallis in a six-furlong handicap at Lingfield last month.
But, under a confident ride from Tom Marquand, who is on board again here, Abduction swept home to beat Igotatext by a neck.
The handicapper’s hands were tied to a large degree - there was a bunch finish to the race - and Abduction competes from a mark of 75 after a 2lb rise in the weights.
There is more to come in the hands of his new trainer, and Abduction can follow up.
At Southwell, C’EST QUELQU’UN rates the horse to beat in the Download The Star Sports App Now! Handicap Hurdle (3.55).
The five-year-old beat Pilsdon Ben by half a length at Fontwell Park last time out and runner-up has gone one better since.
