THE recent drier weather can see OUT THE GLEN (4.00, nap) return to the winners' enclosure at Huntingdon on Tuesday.
The 10-year-old, trained by Olly Murphy, was a three-time winner in 2021-22 and runner-up on this course in February.
Last time out, at Uttoxeter, he was bogged down on heavy ground when a long way adrift in fifth to Yccs Portocervo, and will enjoy Tuesday's forecast good ground far more.
After tumbling down the weights, he is now only 1b higher than his last victory - over Tuesday's course and distance - in March 2022. And with first-time cheekpieces fitted, my selection should, at least, be in the mix in the Racing TV Handicap Chase over two and a half miles.
Half an hour earlier, SISTERANDBROTHER (3.30, nb) is fancied to take the 2m Join Racing TV Now Maiden Hurdle.
The five-year-old was fairly decent on the Flat for Mick Channon and his current trainer Milton Harris - winning for the latter at Bath in May 2022.
And on his first start over jumps for Harris, my selection ran encouragingly to finish third - beaten just three and three-quarter lengths by Toothless in a novice hurdle over 1m7f at Wincanton in March.
He is sure to improve from that experience and is now fitted with a tongue tie.
The gelding will also have the added assistance of Harry Cobden in the saddle.
