NOMADIC EMPIRE (7.05) can strike back in the Fitzdares Sprint Series Qualifier Handicap over six furlongs at Windsor.
David O’Meara’s five-year-old had a few below-par efforts at the end of last season, but they were often on softer ground than he would have liked.
And after a couple of low-key runs this term, he dropped to a competitive weight for a valuable Haydock handicap over the same trip nine days ago. He ran on well to in the closing stages to finish third, beaten a neck and half a length behind Raatea.
With his yard in fine form at the moment, the selection remains well-treated on his best form and makes for plenty of appeal.
BE FRANK (7.35) has been transformed since being gelded last autumn, leaving his juvenile form in the bin when surging clear to win by a length and a quarter in a maiden at Salisbury 23 days ago.
That was an impressive performance, and now taking on handicap company for the first time, Henry Candy’s three-year-old could well be the handicap snip in the charleskendall.com Handicap over the same six-furlong trip.
