EXCITING prospect SERGEANT WILSON (2.55, nap) makes his hurdling debut in the two-mile Nightingale House Hospice Novices' Hurdle at Bangor this afternoon.
Nigel Twiston-Davies’ four-year-old has had just the one run, but he could not have been more impressive when winning a 10-runner bumper at Taunton in March by a very easy 17 lengths. If he continues his upward trajectory over the sticks, he will take all the beating.
Lightly-raced SUFFRAJET (2.45, nb) has run three times, winning last November as a juvenile at Nottingham over a mile on soft ground.
Many of those she had behind her in that 13-runner field have won since, including Mimikyu, who went on to win the Group 2 Park Hill Fillies’ Stakes at Doncaster in September.
Charlie and Mark Johnston’s filly was not seen again until 25 days ago when she finished a promising third behind Cadmus at Ascot over 1m 3f on ground that may have been on the fast side for her.
The daughter of Golden Horn should also strip fitter today on her handicap debut in the Download The Vickers.Bet App Handicap over and extra furlong at Catterick.
