Vladimir Putin has used a deadly vacuum bomb as part of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, an ambassador has claimed.
The Ukrainian ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova said on Monday the Kremlin had used the devastating bomb - which is banned by the Geneva convention - during air strikes.
"They used the vacuum bomb today, which is actually prohibited by the Geneva convention," Markarova said after briefing members of the U.S. Congress.
"The devastation that Russia is trying to inflict on Ukraine is large."
Western officials feared Moscow would begin using such weapons - dubbed the 'father of all bombs' - if their assault on the former fellow Soviet country faltered.
Masks still required in Pharmacies
Shoppers are still obligated to wear masks in Pharmacies as they come under healthcare settings rather than just retail.
The legal obligation to wear masks in most settings ended on Sunday night with your trip to Tesco or on the Luas now allowed to be mask-free.
But while all retail settings are now under different rules, your trip to the Pharmacy is the same, with masks required.
The Irish Pharmacy Union said on Monday: "Today, the mandatory requirement to wear masks in retail settings has been removed. As pharmacies are considered healthcare settings, the current public health advice is that masks should continue to be worn there."
And are people ditching the masks in retail? We headed to Tesco on Monday to find out.
Freezing weather
Freezing temperatures are forecast for most nights this week as a cold snap hits Ireland.
The country will see the mercury dip below zero with some areas set to experience the brunt of the frost and ice.
Met Eireann says the south and south east will see slighter warmer conditions overnight on Tuesday, meaning the rest of the country will see temperatures plummet.
Before then, Tuesday will have a cold and frosty start but any frost and ice will clear to leave a dry and bright day with long spells of sunshine.
However, there will be a little more patchy cloud in the northwest and it will turn cloudier in the south and southeast during the evening, with highest temperatures of 7 to 9C.
Tommy Tiernan complaints
13 disgruntled viewers complained to Rte after they were unhappy over “elements” of Tommy Tiernan’s chat show on Saturday night.
RTE revealed an average 418,000 people tuned into the RTE One show – an extra 3,000 viewers compared to last Saturday week’s show.
But the national broadcaster revealed it received 13 calls and emails regarding the show.
A spokesman said: “RTÉ received nine emails and four calls from members of the public who were unhappy with the elements of the programme.
“Tommy Tiernan Ratings including + 1 and RTÉ Player is 418,000. 34% share on RTÉ 1 and 5% share on RTÉ 1 + 1.”
Rte didn't specify what the complaints were about but the comedian already received backlash at the weekend over his questions to actress Amy Huberman.
