A popular news presenter who took her own life in August texted her former fiancé before she died, a police report has revealed.
The report, obtained by the Daily Mail, shows that Neena Pacholke, 27, sent a devastating text to Kyle Haase that said she loved him.
It read: "I love you Kyle. I always have and always will. Despite how much you ruined me, I always had hope. I’m so sorry to do this to you but I can’t handle any of this pain anymore."
Reports say the two had actually broken up just seven weeks before they were due to tie the knot in Mexico.
Kyle, 38, was visiting his mum in Minnesota with his children from a previous relationship when he received the concerning text.
He called the police to request a welfare check but law enforcement did not arrive in time.
Neena was found dead at home in Wausau, Wisconsin having taken her own life by shooting herself with a handgun she had bought that very morning.
Her mental state was known to her friends before she passed away and one person had removed all firearms from the property the day before she died.
Kyle and Neena had only bought the home together months before but had a difficult relationship before their eventual breakup.
In a similarly upsetting text to her sister, Neena said: "He [Kyle] told me he hates me and will feel like a million bucks once I am out of his life."
Friends alleged the two often squabbled and Neena had become suspicious of possible infidelities when she found underwear at their home.
One person told the Mail: "They were always arguing, and it seemed like Neena was more in love with Kyle than he was with her."
After her death, her devastated employers at WAOW said: "Neena loved this community and the people who lived here. She was a kind person with a big heart and a contagious smile and we will miss her greatly."
Her sister Kaitlynn added: "My heart is shattered into a million pieces and I know it will never be whole again. One day the words will come to me. But for now, I know she's not in pain anymore and I am thankful for that."
