Passengers say Bulwell's new-look bus station looks 'lovely' as it finally re-opens to the public. Since January 2023, there have been temporary bus stops until the bus station near Main Street was completed.
Nottingham and Derby City Council have both secured £161 million from the Department of Transport to invest in local transport infrastructure. Previously, people had said that Bulwell Bus Station’s revamp was ‘much-needed.’
As part of the new and improved station, there are now: new shelters and canopies, upgraded real-time information signs, new benches, improved walkways for pedestrians and a better waiting environment. Work at the station finished on May 13.
