Saath Nibhaana Saathiya's Gopi Bahu aka Devoleena Bhattacharjee stepped out for the first time as a newlywed to attend a public event with her husband Shanawaz Shaikh.
Devoleena looked pretty in a red suit while Shanawaz was handsome in a blue suit. The actress posed with her husband and friends at the red carpet and chatted with paps about him as well.
When she was asked what she calls her husband, Devoleena said, "People around me know it. Since 'Bigg Boss' days people have wanted to know who my Shonu is..Yes, he is only my Shonu."
On Monday, Devoleena also shared a video from her haldi ceremony wherein she was dancing with her husband. Both of them looked happy in yellow traditional outfits and were surrounded with their loved ones.
Devoleena recently spoke exclusively to ETimes TV about the new phase in her life.
She said, "It feels great to be married to the one you love the most. I'm in my most happy phase and I want to just enjoy my happiness and create memories. Marriage is a special time for everyone so I want all positivity around me."
While she may want all joy around her, the actress became a target of trolls for her interfaith marriage.
Talking about it, she said, "For trolls, I seriously don't bother. With time, I have learned to avoid them. I have learned one thing... Logo ka kaam hai kehna.. But I can't walk according to them. It's my life, my decision. And I'm happy to find a perfect partner. And I'm so busy with rituals that I don't have time. Else it's a very good timepass to deal with trolls."
