A 21-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a fellow resident at an adult care home in Newham.
Rolando Torres-Pena, previously of Carson Road, Canning Town, is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with the murder of the 34-year-old man.
Both the deceased and defendant were residents at the adult care facility on Glen Road.
Police were called to the care facility around 3.45am on Tuesday and discovered the 34-year-old man with head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination held at East Ham Mortuary on Wednesday gave the cause of death of compression of the neck.
