Newcastle are looking to appoint 'first-team and emerging talent scouts' in a host of countries across Europe and South America. This summer promises to be a busy one for the Magpies and the north east outfit are poised to add a raft of talent spotters to their ranks to give them a boost in the transfer market.
United have made plenty of backroom moves of late, adding Manchester City scout Paul Midgley as head of youth recruitment, while also admiring Paul McLaren for a head scouting role and West Ham United academy recruitment manager Delroy Ebanks for a similar position on Tyneside.
Recently the club have also put out adverts seeking a rehabilitation conditioning coach, a lead video analyst and a head of data and insight role. Now, Newcastle are seeking scouts who currently reside in France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Serbia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Uruguay.

Newcastle's ownership have already shown they are happy to seek out talent from the other side of the world after the addition of Australian prospect Garang Kuol. And Magpies sporting director Dan Ashworth knows a thing or two about finding hidden gems from each and every corner of the globe.
During his time at Brighton, Ashworth played a part in the club signing players from Austria, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Ecuador, The Netherlands, Switzerland and England's lower leagues among others.
Notable examples include Leandro Trossard, who arrived from Belgian's top flight and has been a revelation in the Premier League. Moises Caicedo is another who falls into that category, with Brighton beating Manchester United and Chelsea to the signature of the Independiente del Valle teenager for £4.5m back in 2020.
Pascal Gross joined from Ingolstadt 04, Pervis Estupinan from Villarreal, Joel Veltman from Ajax and record signing Enock Mwepu was poached from RB Salzburg.
Newcastle have already began scouting south America for fresh talent, with recruitment chief Steve Nickson paying plenty of visits to Brazil to try and find emerging youngsters.
The job description for the first team talent scout role states: "You will act as an ambassador for Newcastle United in your specific region, leading on the identification and assessment of emerging talent and first team targets. Working closely with the UK based scouting coordinator and recruitment operations Manager you will recommend appropriate high-quality talent in line with club strategy and process.
“The successful candidate must have extensive demonstrable experience of talent assessment and identification within elite professional football and a strong network in their respective locations. Expert knowledge of football including game models, playing styles and profiles of technical, tactical, physical, psychological traits within the potential targets is critical.
“A strong understanding of how understanding data insight can contribute to the development of recruitment and the ability to accurately analyse and assess player potential / ability are essential.”
