Newcastle Vs Wolves Highlights As Magpies Win Nine In A Row

Watch Newcastle Vs Wolves highlights as Alexander Isak’s brace and a goal from Anthony Gordon gave the Magpies a convincing win over struggling Wolves.

Isak kept his excellent form going with a brace and assist as Newcastle made it a club-record nine straight wins in all competitions.

The Swedish international broke the deadlock when his deflected effort found its way in off Rayan Ait-Nouri.

He becomes the first Newcastle player ever to score in eight consecutive Premier League games.

Newcastle were dominant from the outset, with Jacob Murphy forcing two stops from Wolves keeper Jose Sa.

Isak then fired one outside the near post before netting the first of his two goals.

Wolves hit the woodwork through Jorge Strand Larsen, but Isak was on hand to extend his side’s advantage shortly after halftime.

Matheus Cunha had Wolves’ best chance of the second half after coming on at the break. He outpaced Sven Botman but blasted his effort off-target.

The hosts then made it 3-0 to seal the win in the closing stages. Isak found Anthony Gordon in acres of space, whose low effort beat Sa from close range.

Santiago Bueno almost scored a consolation for the visitors, while Strand Larsen forced a great save from Martin Dubravka, but Wolves could do nothing to prevent a comprehensive defeat.

Watch: Newcastle Vs Wolves Highlights

Newcastle’s superb run takes them up into the Champions League places. With nine straight wins in all competitions – six of them in the Premier League – they have not lost since a 4-2 defeat at Brentford on 7 December.

Wolves, meanwhile have lost their last two league games, having taken four points against Tottenham and Manchester United beforehand.

The midlands outfit have dropped into the bottom three after tonight’s defeat saw their goal difference become worse than Ipswich’s.

Next, Wolves travel to Chelsea on Monday night while Newcastle host Bournemouth in Saturday’s early kickoff.
