Newcastle United face Brentford for a good old-fashioned 3pm kick off this Saturday back at St James' Park.
The Magpies go into the game on a real high after beating Fulham 4-1 in the capital last weekend and climbing to seventh place in the Premier League table. They will be looking to make it back to back victories in the Premier League for the first time since May when they beat Arsenal and Burnley.
The Bees recorded a 3-3 draw when they last visited St James' for a game in which Eddie Howe was confined to his hotel room after suffering Covid. But he will be back in the zone this weekend.
Lee Ryder's prediction
Brentford normally line up with a 4-3-3 formation so Newcastle boss Howe and Thomas Frank will be going like for like in what promises to be a goal-packed affair. It could all be about which Brentford team turn up in all truth.
Will it be the Brentford side that hammered Man United and Leeds in 4-0 and 5-2 wins - or could it be the team that surrendered meekly against Arsenal and lost 3-0 or even perhaps the Bees team that crumbled 3-2 against Fulham?
With threats emerging all over the pitch I think Newcastle will pick up another three points this weekend.
