Tierney claim
Newcastle United would be the perfect fit for Kieran Tierney if he decides to leave league leaders Arsenal. That is according to former Scotland international Alan Hutton, who reckons the left-back would shine at St James' Park under Eddie Howe.
The Magpies have recently been credited with an interest in Tierney, with the defender falling down the pecking order with the Gunners due to the form of summer signing Oleksandr Zinchenko. The 25-year-old has made just four Premier League starts this term, and has been linked with a £30 million switch to Tyneside.
Hutton told Football Insider: “I have always liked Kieran Tierney as a footballer. It is hard for me to say but when he was at Celtic he was outstanding. For Scotland as well.

“I knew it was going to be a big jump going down to the Premier League but I knew he was ready for it. Unfortunately they have brought in Zinchenko who has been outstanding.
“But I think somewhere like Newcastle, where he would be loved, they would love the way he plays, I think that would suit. For me, I think he is a better player overall than their current options.“
Djalo 'offer'
Newcastle have been tipped to raid Lille once again, having landed Sven Botman at the second attempt last summer. According to InterLive, the Magpies are prepared to spend in the region of £18 million in the summer to land Tiago Djalo.
The defender is said to have been identified by Inter Milan as a prospective long-term successor for Milan Skriniar. However, the Serie A giants are wary of the interest of Newcastle with the report indicating Eddie Howe's side can bid higher for the 22-year-old.
Djalo is set to enter the final year of his contract with the Ligue 1 side, which opens the door for a summer exit. The centre-back has made 24 appearances so far this term, and Napoli are also credited with an interest.
