Newcastle United transfer rumours with 'four players for sale' in summer window

A look at the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Monday, February 13.

Magpies to sell four first-team players to fund rebuild

A report from Football Insider claims Newcastle United will listen to offers for four senior players in the summer. It claims Ryan Fraser, Matt Ritchie, Jamaal Lascelles and Jamal Lewis will all be for sale as Eddie Howe looks to rebuild his squad.

The quartet have all struggled for first-team minutes this season and are the most likely members of the squad to be moved on in the upcoming transfer window. The Toon are expected to reinvest the money on three 'marquee signings'.

However, the club has stressed the importance of complying with Financial Fair Play having spent big in previous windows.

Lazio could be forced into selling Newcastle and Arsenal 'target'

According to Il Messaggero via Goal, Serie A side Lazio are contemplating cashing in on star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serbian's contract is set to expire in 2024, with the Rome-based club tempted to sell the Arsenal and Newcastle target.

Corriere dello Sport recently claimed that Milinkovic-Savic is keen on joining Mikel Arteta’s side but Newcastle's quest for European football could be deciding factor. The midfielder has a reported asking price in the region of £72million, which would need to see the Magpies break their transfer record fee paid for Alexsander Isak in the summer.

The midfielder has an impressive six goals and eight assists in all competitions so far this season and is among the standout performers in Europe.
