Here are the Newcastle United transfer rumours doing the rounds on Monday, May 2.
Newcastle set to suffer Lingard blow
According to the Daily Mirror, Newcastle United are set to suffer a transfer blow when it comes to the signing of Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
Lingard is out of contract in the summer and was said to be keen on a move to Tyneside in January, only for Manchester United to turn down Newcastle's loan advances as the two were unable to agree upon a deal.
The England international has been a bit part figure this season under both Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer and Ralf Rangnick but that could all change with the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag who reportedly would like Lingard to stay in the North-West.

Klopp comment hints at Newcastle's transfer needs
There can be no shame in losing to Liverpool 1-0 as Newcastle United did on Saturday. But there were lengthy spells throughout the contest where the Magpies looked rather blunt up-front.
Joelinton, operating on the left-wing, gave Liverpool some problems early on in the air, but the Magpies never really tested Alisson. "The only plan they had, obviously, was long balls to our right side," said Klopp after the match.
Klopp's comments suggest that while Newcastle didn't get embarrassed by Liverpool, they were never really truly tested them. Newcastle will need to delve into the transfer market this summer and add some attacking quality if they want to close the gap on the middle of the table let alone the top six.
