Magpies 'leading the race' for Lennon
Newcastle United backed up their blockbuster summer investments in the likes of Sven Botman and Alexander Isak with four academy signings. The Magpies confirmed deals for Jordan Hackett, Charlie McArthur, Alex Murphy and Jude Smith, and reports suggest the club are continuing to scout for further youth recruits.
A-League wonderkid Garang Kuol and Rangers' rising star Cole McKinnon have both been recently linked with a St James' Park switch. Now, the Scottish Sun claim Newcastle are 'leading the race' to sign Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller.

The son of former Scotland international striker Lee has already made his senior debut at the age of 16 years and six days in the League Cup clash against Inverness Caledonian Thistle last month. Miller is contracted until the summer of 2025, but it appears the Magpies could be set to test Motherwell's resolve to keep hold of the talented teenager.
Santos latest
Andrey Santos has reportedly attracted a host of suitors since making his senior breakthrough with Vasco da Gama over the course of the last year. The 18-year-old has made five goals in 26 appearances, with Newcastle among the clubs credited with an interest.
Club director Paulo Bracks insists the second-tier side are yet to receive an offer for Santos, with a price tag of £30 million suggested in reports. Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to express an interest according to iNews, but the Magpies could look to broker a deal through agent Giuliano Bertolucci, an intermediary of United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
