Newcastle United transfer rumours as Magpies 'eye up' 94-goal Ukrainian international

Here are your Newcastle United transfer rumours for Sunday, September 18.

Magpies 'eye up' 94-goal Ukrainian international

Newcastle United are reportedly looking to target Dynamo Kyiv winger Victor Tsygankov in the January transfer window before his contract runs out completely.

Tsygankov, who has 40 senior caps for his country along with seven goals, is on the watchlist of many of Europe's top clubs including the likes of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, with Wolves and West Ham United also interested.

According to French football website Jeunes Footeux, the Magpies are thought to be keeping an eye on the 24-year-old's development over the next few months before launching any kind of bid for him in January.

Along with his 40 senior international caps, Tsygankov has 219 first-team appearances for Kyiv in which he's managed an incredible 87 goals and 60 assists.

Newcastle set to 'hijack' £17 million Arsenal deal

The Magpies are reportedly ready to 'hijack' Arsenal's deal with Leicester for Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans after being linked with him all summer long.

According to Jeunes Footeux, Newcastle are prepared to match Leicester's asking price of £17 million for Tielemans who has made 165 appearances for the Foxes.

After Leicester's terrible start to the season, it seems almost inevitable that the 25-year-old will leave to find a new club in the winter window as the club tries to recoup some of the £40 million that they paid for him back in 2019.

It's been reported that their original asking price of £25 million has now been lowered to the price Newcastle are willing to match, meaning a move to St. James' Park could be on the cards for the Belgian.
