Here are the Newcastle United transfer rumours and gossip on Saturday, November 19.
Newcastle United tussle with Barcelona over 'new Bruno Guimaraes'
Newcastle United are reportedly prepared to start a bidding war with Spanish giants Barcelona over young Brazilian talent Andrey Santos who has been dubbed 'the new Bruno Guimaraes'.
The 18-year-old made 33 appearances for Vasco de Gama in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B and netted eight times from midfield in his debut senior season - second only to striker Raniel.
Previous reports have suggested Newcastle already sent in a bid worth around £20 million but it was rejected as the new asking price looks to be around £35 million.
According to Super Vasco, a Brazilian sports news outlet, Santos is the 'most valued player in the squad' and is 'in the sights of Newcastle and Barcelona' in the January transfer window.
He's also a great possession player and tackler as he finished third in Série B with the most tackles made with 97, just 10 behind Mathias Villasanti (107) from Gremio and teammate Yuri (121).
Liverpool sweating on Bellingham and Mount transfers with worry Newcastle could help derail deals
Liverpool's ambitious transfer plans for England duo Jude Bellingham and Mason Mount could be scuppered by Newcastle United and their other top-four rivals. Jurgen Klopp is said to be in the market for midfield reinforcements following the Reds' indifferent start to the campaign.
Liverpool sit sixth in the Premier League table, eight points adrift of third-placed Newcastle although they do hold a game in hand. Klopp has already admitted his side's early inconsistency could cost them in their pursuit of a top-four finish, with competition for a place in next season's Champions League already hotting up.
Reports suggest Liverpool are lining up prospective summer moves for both Bellingham and Mount, with the latter yet to commit to a new deal at Chelsea. However, both deals could hinge upon whether the FA Cup and Carabao Cup holders secure a top-four finish according to the Daily Express, with Newcastle currently on course to take up one of those spots this season.
