Newcastle United are pondering their next move after having two bids turned down by Leicester City for James Maddison. The Foxes are reportedly holding out for £60 million fee for the attacking midfielder, who has two years left on his contract.
However, Leicester are 'not expecting' Newcastle to come close to their asking price for the 25-year-old. That is according to the Athletic, who claim their resolve will be tested more strongly by Chelsea's pursuit of talented centre-back Wesley Fofana.

Muriel move?
Eddie Howe has so far been frustrated in his efforts to land a forward to rival Callum Wilson for a starting spot. There have been a host of names linked already in this window, and a new name for the list is Atalanta striker Luis Muriel.
Juventus are said to be in the running for the Colombian international who is now in the 'crosshairs' of the Magpies, according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb. Muriel has left than a year left on his contract, and the report adds that contact between the clubs may have already been made.
